Purpose and Characteristics

The SZG315 powerful and efficient rotor sand mixer was designed by our company based on the drawings imported from abroad (BMD TM series and KW sand mixer). This machine is mainly used for mixing various types and core sands in large and medium-sized casting workshops, and can also be used for mixing various powder and granular materials in industries such as glass, ceramics, and refractory materials. The working principle of this machine is that three sets of low-speed transmission large blade scrapers push the mixture to make radial and tangential movements in the machine bowl, so that the sand is mixed while advancing. The high-speed rotating rotor blades not only apply impact force to the sand but also cooperate with the scraper to apply shear force to the sand, causing rapid diffusion and strong friction between the sand materials, thus achieving high sand mixing efficiency and good quality. The machine has a simple structure, easy maintenance, high reliability of the transmission system and mixing mechanism, and is currently an ideal sand mixing equipment.


This machine consists of a body, transmission mechanism, rotor mechanism, scraper mechanism, unloading mechanism, water addition system, etc The main motor is connected to the reducer through a V-belt, and the reducer drives the main bearing to rotate through a chain coupling. The main shaft then drives the scraper to rotate through its scraper sleeve, causing the scraper to push the molding sand forward. Two sets of rotor mechanisms are symmetrically installed on the enclosure, forming an independent system.
The motor drives the rotor to rotate directly through a narrow V-V-belt, and works in conjunction with a scraper to achieve impact shear and friction on the molding sand.
1. The body The body includes the machine basin, chassis, sand discharge door, machine legs, and related components. The sand discharge door is installed on the side of the machine basin, controlled by a cylinder, with fast sand discharge speed and clean discharge. The machine basin is equipped with a sampler. The inner lining ring and bottom lining plate of the machine basin are made of NM500 wear-resistant steel plate, which provides sufficient wear resistance and flatness on the bottom surface to solve the problem of sand adhesion in the machine basin.
2. Transmission mechanism The transmission mechanism includes the main motor, V-belt, base, belt cover, reducer, and chain coupling.The main motor is mounted on the motor base, and transmits power to the reducer through pulleys and V-belts. The output shaft of the reducer is connected to the column through a chain coupling, and the main shaft drives the scraper sleeve to rotate counterclockwise, causing the scraper device to push the molding sand to form a circulation. The motor base is equipped with a tensioning mechanism. Install the reducer and machine body on the base, and bear all the loads of the machine. It is fixed on the foundation of the sand mixer; The reducer is installed on the base, and during major repairs, the chain coupling can be disconnected to horizontally pull out the reducer for repair without disassembling the column and other components.
The protective covers are fixed on the base and motor base respectively. The reducer adopts SEW product, model ML3RVSF110, and its lubrication method relies on oil bath and splash lubrication. The upper bearing of the reducer is supplied with oil by a lubricating oil pump; Simultaneously equipped with a forced water cooling device, please refer to the reducer manual for details. The chain coupling connects the transmission mechanism and the mixing mechanism. The rotor electronics adopts Y - Δ voltage reduction starting, and the spindle motor adopts an
electrical soft starting device, which can improve the starting performance, isolate vibration and impact, reduce impact current, and enable the machine load to start. It also has overload protection function. Please refer to the manual of the soft start device for details.

3. Rotor mechanism The rotor mechanism includes two sets of rotors and an upper shroud. The upper cover adopts a detachable design, which is bolted together with the body's enclosure. The rotor is self-contained and fixed on the upper cover for easy replacement and maintenance. The supporting bearings are lubricated with lithium based grease. Centralized lubrication by the dry oil pump.
The upper enclosure is equipped with new and old sand quantitative scales (large scales) and various powder quantitative scales (small scales) feeding ports, as well as exhaust and dust removal ports, and has maintenance doors and observation windows.
The machine operation is observed through the observation port. The upper cover can open the access door during cleaning and maintenance, facilitating the maintenance and replacement of rotor blades. The maintenance door is equipped with a limit switch, which automatically cuts off the power supply when the maintenance door is opened, preventing the machine from starting to ensure the safety of cleaning and maintenance workers.
The rotor body is connected to the rotor shaft with keys and fixed with bolts. The worn surface of the rotor blades is welded with D880 wear-resistant material, which has a long service life. The rotor blades are
fixed to the rotor body with bolts for easy replacement.
4. Scraper device The scraper device adopts three sets of large blade type scrapers, which can fully mix the sand, shorten the unloading time, and thus improve production efficiency. The scraper is installed on the scraper sleeve and rotated by the main shaft. The contact area between the scraper and the bottom lining plate and the surrounding ring is embedded with hard alloy blocks, and the surface is welded with D880 wear-resistant material. It is divided into several blocks according to the degree of wear and is fixed on the scraper body with bolts for easy replacement and adjustment.
Operating Procedures

Pre-operation Preparation:

Inspect all components of the rotor sand mixer for any damage or looseness, and repair promptly if necessary. Check the lubricant
level of the rotor sand mixer and add as needed. Clear any debris around the rotor sand mixer to ensure a clean working environment. Consult the operation manual of the rotor sand mixer to understand its structure, performance, and operating points.

During Operation:

Turn on the power of the rotor sand mixer and verify that all buttons and indicators are functioning properly. Load the sand material into the feed chute of the rotor sand mixer as required. Adjust the rotation speed and mixing time of the rotor sand mixer according to needs to ensure the desired sand mixing effect. Start the rotor sand mixer and observe its operation for any abnormalities. Shut down and inspect promptly if any issues are detected. Regularly check the lubrication of the rotor sand mixer
and add lubricant as needed. During operation, keep your body and other objects away from the working area of the rotor sand mixer to avoid accidents. Monitor the noise and vibration levels of the rotor sand mixer during operation, and address any abnormalities promptly.

Post-operation:

Turn off the power of the rotor sand mixer, clean it thoroughly, and take dust prevention measures. Regularly inspect and maintain
the rotor sand mixer to ensure its long-term stable operation.

Operation under the influence of alcohol or fatigue is strictly prohibited. In case of any malfunction or abnormal situation with the rotor sand mixer, immediately shut it down and address the issue. Continued operation under such circumstances is strictly prohibited.
